Ten-year-old Johanara, a wage-earner, rides a morning wave in Cox’s Bazar. She’s a member of a group of eight pre-teen girls called the Bangladeshi Surf Girls. She has been learning to surf and skateboard thanks to the efforts of 25-year-old surfer and lifeguard Rashed Alam and his wife, American expat Venessa Rude.
